Pomelo Salad

Pomelo salad is a simple recipe and easy to make. It is a healthy dish also. Ingredients that are regularly used in the kitchen are sufficient for the recipe. Pomelo is a mixture of sweet and sour.  I have added onion and coriander for crunchiness. Grated coconut gives sweetness to pomelo salad. Chilly flakes add spiciness to the salad.

 

Pomelo is a fruit and its tastes like sweet and sour. In our local language it is called as chakkota. Pomelo has excellent source of vitamins c and other minerals. It contains fiber and protein so we can add in our diet.

  • First peel the outer cover then cut into slice and separate the cover and pulp.
  • Chop the onion and coriander leaves.
  • In a vessel add pomelo pulp, chopped onion, coriander leaves, grated coconut, chilly flakes, and required amount of salt and mix well.
  • Once it's mixed sweet and sour pomelo salad is ready. Serve with hot rice or have it as it is.
