Paratha is always good for health and easy to prepare but it is little time consuming. I love Paratha because it is filled with nutrition, healthy and can add veggies and no need for any side dish. So today’s recipe is methi leaves Paratha.

 

Paratha is always the best option rather than chapathi or roti. Paratha is a flatbread and it is made with wheat flour. Methi leaves are helpful to control the sugar level and get rid of constipation. This is best to add in our diet. Many recipes can be tried with methi or Fenugreek leaves.

The methi leaves of Paratha are easy to prepare. This Paratha is a combination of wheat flour, methi leaves and some spices. The curd helps to soften the Paratha. Instead of crushed green chilli you can shift to chilli powder for spiciness. Masala and spices are completely optional.

This Paratha is not stuffed, just adding the leaves and spices and masala with plain Paratha. Methi leaves are a little bitter in taste. You can fry the leaves or boil in hot water for a few minutes if you feel bitter. Adding the masala brings down the bitterness of leaves so here I directly used the methi leaves.

The methi leaves are good for everyone. Definitely kids will love this paratha. So they are eating healthy and mom feels great and guilt free. It can be prepared for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is one of the lunch box recipes too. If it is difficult to roll the Paratha you can prepare thepla from adding the same ingredients.

  • Take a mixing bowl add wheat flour, chopped methi leaves, curd, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, crushed green chilli, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, oil and moist well.
  • Add water gradually and combine well and form a dough.
  • Prepare a medium ball size and dust some flour and roll into a round shape.
  • Heat the tawa and put rolled Paratha and cook both the sides. Apply ghee or oil on top of Paratha while cooking.
  • Yummy and healthy methi Paratha is ready to serve. Enjoy with curd or raita or pickle.
