Pumpkin Seeds

Hey my dear friends, today I want to share simple steps or procedures to prepare the pumpkin seeds. 

Pumpkin seeds are very healthy and easy to prepare at home. For many recipes i usually use pumpkin, after using the yellow parts, i didn’t throw the seeds. I am doing a simple procedure to prepare the healthy seeds. 

Preparing pumpkin seeds is very easy but little time consuming. These are the same as store bought ones. First we cut the pumpkin, remove all the seeds. Later we need to clean all the seeds. Once seeds are cleaned then sun dry for two days not more than is necessary. Remove the outer cover in your free time. After removing the outer cover and making clean seeds then store in an airtight container and use whenever required. 

In my childhood days my grandmother always told me that pumpkin seeds are giving health benefits. She is always cleaning the pumpkin, roasting the pumpkin seeds she gives to us for eating. We didn’t know the uses and benefits, nothing but we were quarrelling and eating all because it is tasty. Recently I have been following different recipes. At that time many were using it so I searched and learnt how the seeds are useful. I am always thankful to my granny for giving me what she knows.

If you do not have sufficient time or are busy then roast the pumpkin seeds after washing. Direct roasting of seeds has various health benefits too. Roasting or storing both the ways we can use seeds so please don’t throw and use it for your gut health.

  • Take a pumpkin cut and remove all the seeds.
  • Wash it well and remove all the skulls.
  • Sun dry it for 2-3 days.
  • Remove the outer cover or skin.
  • Store in an airtight container and use whenever required.
