Normally we drink tea or coffee in our daily life. Here I am presenting this recipe which is very good for our health. Hibiscus tea is delicious and simple to prepare at home. Everybody knows about the hibiscus plant and beautiful flower. Consuming hibiscus tea is best addition to our body system.

 

Many people use this plant and flowers as medicine and for food or for puja. This is one of the herbal tea. This is best tea for decreasing our body temperature, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heart diseases. Hibiscus flower tea include in our diet because it reduces our weight. Also it is natural and calorie free. Pregnant ladies and whoever is planning to become pregnant please avoid this tea because hibiscus flowers produces oestrogen hormone in our body.

Hibiscus tea can be consumed hot or cold. Pour the boiling water to cleaned hibiscus petals. Within fraction of second it releases beautiful natural colour to water. Later we can add sugar or honey as sweetener. Add Lemon juice to provide extra taste to tea. Sweetener and lemon juice is completely optional. If we want cold keep for cooling and add ice cubes to it for chilled version of healthy hibiscus tea. Warm or cold tea tastes good in both the way.

Actually I made food recipes from hibiscus flowers. But I never know about making delicious tea. When I learnt to make this herbal tea, frankly I’m so addicted to this. Whenever I get hibiscus flowers I will make tea and consume. Once I addicted, started sharing to with my relatives, friends etc. to tell how the hibiscus flower releases the colour in boiling water

  • Take hibiscus removes petals, clean it and wash it well.
  • In a vessel add water and boil it.
  • Add boiling water to hibiscus. Once colour releases takeout the residue from water.
  • Add sugar, lemon juice and mix well.
  • Tea is ready, pour the hibiscus tea to a glass.

Notes

  1. Instead of sugar you can add honey as sweetener.
  2. You can add mint leaves for extra flavour to it.
  3. Keep for cooling and add some ice cubes for chilled version of tea.
