- Take a vessel, add raw dosa rice and soak it for about 4-5 hours.
- Take a malabar spinach leaves, clean, wash and chop into small pieces.
- In a mixer jar add soaked rice, coriander, red chili, tamarind, cumin, salt and grind to a coarse texture. Now the patrode batter is ready.
- Transfer batter to the mixing bowl.
- Add chopped malabar spinach to the batter and mix well.
- Take a clean banana leaf and roughly steam it for easy folding.
- Pour spinach mixed patrode batter to the banana leaf and fold by all the sides.
- Take a steamer, add water and allow to boil.
- Steam for about 45-50 minutes.
- Once it cools down, unfold the banana leaf.
- Soft and tasty malabar spinach pathrode is ready.
- Serve with chutney or have it like that or make sweet tadka.
