Instructions
- In a vessel add white raw rice and boiled rice, wash a couple of times.
- Soak for about 5-6 hours.
- In a saucepan add jaggery, water and allow to boil.
- Boil until jaggery dissolves, now jaggery syrup is ready.
- In a mixer jar add soaked rice, coconut, cucumber, cardamom, salt and jaggery syrup and grind to a smooth batter.
- Transfer ground cucumber batter to a vessel.
- Heat the kaltappa pan and spread some ghee.
- Pour the ladder full of batter and close the lid.
- Cook on medium flame for about 3-4 minutes.
- Open the lid and flip it and cook again 2-3 minutes.
- Now the tasty and traditional cucumber kalthappa is ready.
- Serve with chutney or have as it is.
