- Clean the coconut shell.
- In a vessel add water and pieces of coconut, salt and 15 minutes to boil. Or until colour changes of water.
- Sieve the water. Take a pan, add oil, garlic, mustard and curry leaves.
- Add the boiled shell water, green chilly, turmeric, pepper powder tamarind extract, salt. Give a good mix and boil for 5 minutes.
- In a tadka pan add oil, garlic, mustard seeds and curry leaves and pour the tempering to rasam.
- Healthy coconut shell rasam is ready.
Notes
- You need to strain the hot water after boiling coconut shells in water.
- Be careful when you take out the coconut shell from hot water.
