It is works as medicine for minor stomach ailments like diarrhea or indigestion etc. The nelli hindi thambuli or drink is giving good refreshment. We can drink chilled or as it is. Indian gooseberry preserve drink is just mixing with buttermilk. We no need add any extra ingredients along with. In our home small digestive problem will solve this healthy beverage.
Indian gooseberry preserve thambuli is giving great taste with hot rice and ghee. I loved this combination rice ghee and gooseberry preserve thambuli. I am not used much ingredients to do. Gooseberry preserve is blended with coconut and green chilly. And mixing with buttermilk or cuts or yoghurt. I added simple tampering to it. Tempering is completely option for this recipe.

- For Thambuli Preparation: Take a mixer jar add grated coconut, green chilly, jeera, gooseberry preserve, enough water and grind like a smooth paste.
- Transfer the grinded paste to bowl and add buttermilk to it. Add salt for taste. Mix well.
- In a tadka pan add oil, mustard, curry leaves and prepare tempering.
- Pour the tempering and mix well. Serve with hot rice.
- For Drink: Take a glass add buttermilk and gooseberry preserve. Mix well and serve it.
