Cheeslings are an easy and unique recipe. It is crunchy and a great snack option for kids. It is relished to everyone. Cheeselings are light brown in color and crispy. This snack is addictive by every age group because it is delicious in taste.
In a hotel for the first time I tasted these cheeselings there. In that hotel, after ordering a dish, they will give a small bowl of cheeselings for munching and garam panaka. I liked their concept and these cheeselings. First time I heard and ate these cheeselings. At that time I felt that this was a super snack and searched for a recipe, but didn’t find the recipe for long. Once I got this recipe on YouTube I was done and fulfilled my desire.
Cheeselings are made with all-purpose flour, cheese, butter and milk. Milk is added to prepare the dough. Cheese gives good taste and aroma for cheeselings. These combinations are too good. The dough must be rolled into very thin pieces and made into square shapes. Shapes are made using a cutter or sharp knife. Making a square shape is a little difficult task and time consuming, because we have too small pieces.
While frying also heat the oil and fry in medium heat. Once it turns to a semi golden color, take out from hot oil, don’t wait to turn to dark brown color. Store an airtight container for a long shelf life. It stays good for fifteen days at room temperature.

- Take a large bowl, add all-purpose flour, grated cheese, salt, butter and mix everything.
- Add milk gradually and knead and prepare a soft dough. Once done with the dough, transfer to the small bowl and keep for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal balls. Spread some flour and roll it into a very thin layer. Using a cutter roll in the layer and cut into small pieces. Then the pieces transfer to the plate and are ready to fry.
- Heat the oil in kadai, leave the prepared small pieces as a square shape and fry it on medium flame.
- Once it starts to semi golden color take out from hot oil to absorbing paper. Crispy Cheeselings is ready. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
Take mozzarella cheese to prepare the cheeselings. Roll as possible thin layer for making the small pieces.
