- In a mixing bowl add ragi flour, rice flour, besan flour, salt, asafoetida, red chili powder, white sesame seeds and mix well all the dry ingredients.
- Add hot ghee and mix well.
- Add water gradually and form together like a soft dough. The dough should not be too sticky or too dry.
- Fill the murukku press with a portion of the dough.
- Heat oil for deep frying in a pan or kadai.
- Press the dough onto a greased plate or directly into the hot oil, forming spirals.
- Fry a few murukkus at a time on a medium-high flame until golden brown and crisp.
- Drain the murukkus on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Allow the murukkus to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.
