  • Take an ivy gourd clean, chop into pieces and again wash well.
  • Transfer all chopped ivy gourd and add water and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  • After 5 minutes, add boiled chickpea, salt, jaggery and red chili powder, turmeric powder.
  • Mix well and close the lid until the veggies are softened or completely cooked.
  • In a mixer jar add coconut, mustard seeds, red chili, curry leaves and little amount of water and grind to a coarse powder.
  • Once ivy gourd and chickpea are completely cooked, add ground masala and mix well. Cook until all the water evaporates.
  • In a tadka pan add oil, urad dal, mustard seeds and curry leaves for tempering.
  • Add prepared tempering to sukka and mix well.
  • Healthy and easy ivy gourd and chana sukka are ready.
  • Serve with steamed rice, chapati or roti.
