Bread roll is one of the very easy and quick snacks. It is a deep fried snack recipe. Bread roll tastes like savory and little spicy snacks. This bread roll is a delicious snack for evening with one cup of chai or coffee. Kids also love this recipe and it works as magic when you prepare when they come home after schooling.
The bread roll is similar to Bonda but the taste is different. Bonda we prepare from a potato mixture and outside cover from besan flour. But a bread roll is covered with bread and filled with potato mixture. It is a simple recipe, cut the hardest part of the bread, keep the potato mixture and wrap it well and deep fry in hot oil.
Take mashed potatoes and add masala and spices whatever you need. Then add onion and fresh coriander leaves and mix well and make your wish shape. Here I made a cylindrical shape of potato mix. You can make round, oval or square or any other shapes. For filling you add more spices, veggies whatever you want. But don’t want water releasing veggies because it will release water while mixing the mixture and it will make it difficult to make shapes and for deep fry.
For filling you can use the same aloo paratha stuffing. If you did aloo paratha at breakfast you left out the mixture you can try this recipe for evenings. Veggies you can add like carrot, beans, peas, etc. for filling. While using the bread remove the hard part because when you make shapes it will give little problems. Dip in normal water and gently press the bread and remove all the excess water. If you have water in bread slices it will be difficult to fry. Gently press the bread, don’t break the bread by pressing hard.
If you are searching for a healthy option instead of frying you can bake the bread roll or air fry them. These three options are suitable to make the bread roll. It will serve when it is hot. It goes well with tomato ketchup and green colour chutney.
I love this recipe when the left hand has one cup of chai and the right hand has this crispy bread roll with green chutney. Thank you so much friends for coming here and trying and reading my recipes. Love you so much and keep supporting and motivating me.
