Everyone knows what corn is and many dishes from it. But it is very rare to know about baby corn dishes. This is a very crispy and colorful snack. Babycorn fritters are very easy to prepare and also good. It is an instant fritter and everyone loves it.


Babycorn make vertically because it will easy to cook or frying. Combination of flour gives good taste to this fritter. Fritter is getting a good aroma when you add coriander powder, curry leaves and coriander leaves and spices. Fritter must be golden brown in colour. While frying the baby corn heat must be medium flame. Otherwise baby corn will not cook completely so fritters not come crispy. Important matter is I am not added maida here.

  • Take Babycorn cut from the middle.
  • Sprinkle some salt and mix well and leave for 5 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl add besan / chickpea flour, rice flour, corn flour, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, chopped coriander and curry leaves and salt.
  • Add enough water and give a good mix without any lumps.
  • Dip the baby corn and leave it to hot oil one by one.
  • Fry the baby corn in medium flame for about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Crispy and golden baby corn fritters are ready. Serve with hot Chai or coffee.


  1. Select tender baby corn for best taste.
  2. You can make baby corn into slices for easy cooking while frying.
  3. Add water gradually, otherwise batter will not get correct consistency.
